EOTD: Lancome neutrals quad

One of the items I recently received as a blog prize is this lovely lancome neutral quad. Since I finally am on vacation from work I decided to play with it and created this very neutral but nice look.

I used the top left color as my highlight, the lower right color all over the lid, the lower left color in the outer corner and the upper right color to line my lower lash line.
After than I lined my eyes with MAC Lord it up liner and used Maybeline Super Film mascara.

Its hard to believe it is already Christmas eve here, boy has time flown by fast!

Face: Bioderma Sensibo H2O

After the last of my cleansing wipes was used, I started to consider what I should try next for make-up removal. Should I go back to the biore wipes I love so much, or try something new? In the end I decided to try something new since thats always more fun than using the same thing over and over again. I decided to try out Bioderma Sensibo H2O, as I had read quite a bit about it in the beauty community.
I have been using this for about a month now and I really like it. I don't think I have found any wipes that take off eye makeup as well as this does. In addition this product doesn't burn at all and is very soothing on my eyes. I think the only possible drawback that I have discovered about this product so far, is the price. It is rather expensive, but a little does go a long way.

So here is my break down:

Pros:
works great
soothing, doesn't burn
doesn't require a lot of product

Cons:
Price
Here in Japan the 100ml is 1,260yen, 250ml 2,940yen/ I wasn't able to find a site that sells this particular item in the US, but after searching on ebay the item looks like it runs about $5.99 for the 100ml and about $19-39 for the 250ml.

I hope to try out more Bioderma products in the future as it looks like there are many promising ones I have seen on their website.

What are some products that you have been using to remove makeup?

Skincare: Spongeables Pedi-Scrub

One of my biggest pet peeves is dry peeling feet. When I was younger I used to take joy in peeling off the dead skin, but now I just feel it is rather annoying. Earlier this week during yoga class I noticed that my feet were yet again dry enough to start peeling, so I stopped by the drugstore in search of a good foot exfoliator. I found this Spongeables Pedi-Scrub on my quest and decided to try it out. A few years ago I was given a Spongeable body sponge as a gift and really liked it so I was excited to try this out. The idea behind this is that it is a sponge with soap in it that lasts a certain amount of washes, depending on how much you use. This one is unique in that it is double sided and has a rough side for exfoliating.
I have been using this product for about a week now and really am enjoying it. My feet have gotten smoother and the dry skin is gone. In addition it has a nice relaxing scent.
How do you combat dry skin?

OOTD : Channeling Ronald MacDonald?

I've been reading a lot of clothing and fashion blogs recently which have inspired me to try different things with my wardrobe. This is my latest effort, or as my coworkers call it the "Ronald McDonald" or "Where's Waldo" look. I honestly hadn't though about those two characters while getting dressed, but looking at this picture I can see it. Thankfully I like both of those characters, just wish they were girls, lol. So lets get on to the look:
(sorry for the dark picture it was taken with my phone at about 4:30PM)

Gap Cardigan
H&M red & white striped t-shirt
H&M black belt
For Joseph black skirt
American Apparel tights
Steve Madden Oxfords
accessories: gold sideways cross necklace & diamond stud earrings

November Going Going Gone

Since I have really gotten into using up products, I decided to make this a monthly feature so as to remind myself to keep on my kick. Here are the products that I finished up for the month of November.

First up are the Bath and Body Works Tea Tree Cleansing wipes. As I mentioned in my previous "going, going, gone" post, I recently finished the Tea Tree shower gel as well. These were purchased as a set at The Body Shop for about 1,500yen. Through this purchase I really discovered that I don't like the smell of Tea Tree, as I previously had. These wipes worked ok, but compared to some of the Japanese brands I have tried these were pretty substandard. At times my face even burned, from these wipes. This may not happen for everyone, but for me, face burning = not good. So unfortunately these will not be a repurchase.

My next item is also another purchase from The Body Shop. This is the Moroccan Rose shower gel. I really liked using this shower gel. The scent and the way it left my skin feeling were fantastic. I am not sure if this item is something hey carry all the time, I say this because I wasn't able to find it on their website. I would repurchase this one.

This next item was one I found while I was cleaning out my stash, I believe it was a free sample with another Fasio item I bought a couple of years ago which is long gone. It is the Fasio Cleansing Gel by Kose. I decided to use this up rather than toss it because it was such a small tube and wouldn't take very long to do so. It wasn't a bad cleanser, but I have come to find that I am not too keen on cleasning gels.

The same can be said about this next item, Dr. Ci Labo super sensitive cleansing gel. The gel quality of this was really not something I enjoyed. It cleaned my face very nicely and left it smooth, but I prefer cleansers that foam a bit more.

As I have color -treated hair with a protein straightening treatment in it, I am always on the hunt for items that protect my hair from the damage of hair dryers. This Liese Blow water for hair dryer, wasn't bad but compared to the item in my last going going gone post it wasn't as good.

Continuing with hair care I recently started using shampoo and conditioner by Aubrey Organics. I decided to try this GPB Glycogen Protein Balancing one out as I ran out of the shampoo and conditioner that came with my keratin treatment and needed to find something that was sulfate free and had protein in it. This satisfied both of my needs and was cheaper than Khiels. I really liked this shampoo, but it smelled awful! This was a pretty negative point for this item, but it didn't turn me off of the brand. I am now using a new, better smelling set by Aubrey organics that I absolutely love.

Hope you are all having a great week!
